Statement Regarding Britishness

Sandon JMI School is an inclusive environment where we all respect individual’s liberty and there is a tolerance and understanding of different faiths and beliefs.

All individuals in school have an equal voice which underpins all we do at Sandon.

We model democracy within our school via School Council, Assemblies and Talk Time Tuesday sessions, these give our pupils an opportunity to challenge opinions and beliefs that are contrary to fundamental British values.

We celebrate these values which include freedom, tolerance of each other and respect for the rule of law.

Personal and social responsibility is actively encouraged amongst our children from Reception Class to Year 6 and we foster a respect for British institutions. Our well behaved children care for each other and a family ethos is promoted in school.

We ensure that children leave us understanding the importance of respect and are fully prepared for life in modern Britain.
