      Incredible Swimming

      June 2017

The junior pupils undertook a distance swim just before half term and the results were staggering. Every child swam their heart out and should be congratulated on their wonderful show of determination. All our children exceeded expectations and even children who have only recently learnt to swim completed at least 50 metres (two lengths of the pool) unaided. Almost a quarter ( 9 pupils) swam a mile or more (64 lengths of the pool) and most could have gone on for longer but we ran out of time!

Together they swam 36,350 metres which equates to 22.7miles – almost a marathon !

Well done to all our juniors and thank you to our wonderful swimming helpers for helping our children reach this standard!

However, on the day Emily was poorly, so Mahalah took her place. One of the other schools was a team member short, so Jacques and Lewis helped them and became part of their school team.
