What is a Creative Curriculum?
'Curriculum' refers to knowledge and skill-based concepts that children learn as a result of direct teaching and instruction. 'Creativity' refers to innovation, enthusiasm, and individuality. Therefore, when combined, they result in a creative curriculum, where students learn through creative, engaging and active teaching methods. Creative curriculum focuses on creating links between topics, actions, knowledge and exploration. Students' interests are used to spark further learning opportunities and avenues for developing their creativity and knowledge.
At Sandon, we are proud to offer a broad and balanced Creative Curriculum. As a result of this, we were was praised in our recent Ofsted visit for 'make learning interesting and fun' whilst also encouraging pupils to be confident and aspire to be the best they can be.
